Shoreline sadly announces the passing of Otmar Valero on 5-26-02. He is now released from the pain of his cancer. Otmar, a loving father, leaves behind his beloved daughter Amber, 11. Otmar was 44.

Otmar loved to surf, and was greatly appreciated by all those who took surfing lessons from him here at Shoreline. Gentle and patient with everyone, Otmar was highly regarded by all those who knew him. He was truly a "nice guy".

Otmar's funeral was held at 11AM on Saturday June 8, 2002 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Saratoga, CA.

On Sunday June 9, 2002, there was a "paddle out" at Cowell's Beach, where Omar's ashes were committed to the deep.
